Remember Windower? It's still here and better than ever!

And don't forget to load these game-enhancing plugins from the windower client:
  • Guildwork: send messages offline to in-game, AH alerts, and more!
  • FFXIDB: Zone Mini-map display!
  • TParty: displays party/alliance TP
  • Treasury: automatically stacks inventory items as they drop
  • Timers: displays cooldowns for all abilities/spells
  • Eternity: automatically clicks through cutscene dialogue
  • THtracker: displays current treasure hunter lvl
  • Infobar - displays target information (lvl, weaknesses, etc)

If you have the guild work add-on active, all you need to do in game is type: /gw login 'username' 'password'

Check this page for some of the awesome features:

Can't stress enough who all these plugins/addons make the game so much more enjoyable! :D

Ashita is just an alternative to Windower, it is a type of windower itself. I think it was born out of FFACE, so it is probably more accepting of programs/plugins that Windower team not approve of (gray area of botting and what not). But by itself it is just a windower that is capable of plugins etc.

It also has an extensive gearswap/spellcast type plugin called AshitaCast. I'm not sure theres any advantage with Ashita over Windower4, but it definitely is much easier for me to write plugins for, so that's my draw.

What are plugins written in for it? I'm not exactly fluent in Lua, but I understand why Windower uses it and can get by mostly, at least enough to write my own GearSwap sets and rules. I take it they must be written in something else?

Ashita addons are written in lua, but plugins are writtin in C++
Addons and plugins are kind of same thing I guess ultimately, not sure if some stuff can be accomplished in one but not the other. I'm just more comfortable with C++.
